Face-search opt-outs
Face-search engines let someone upload a photo and find pages where a similar face appears. UltoPulto prepares the opt-out for each engine, tracks it and checks again. Your photo never needs to reach our servers.
What it covers
- Face-search engines
- PimEyes and FaceCheck.ID today, with Clearview AI handled by formal request where the law gives you that right.
- Your face signature
- Detection and embedding run in your browser. Only a numeric signature is sent, with consent, and it is deleted after 30 days unless you are a subscriber using monitoring.
How it works
- Self-checkYou run the engine's own search with your photo. Their terms forbid anyone doing it for you.
- Prepared opt-outStep-by-step instructions for each engine, including what they will ask for and what to cover on an ID.
- You submit, we trackYou press “I did this”. The case records it and schedules a re-check.
- Formal requests where they applyFor companies covered by laws such as BIPA, the CCPA or the GDPR, a written demand is sent as your agent.
What is built
Each capability carries its status. What the labels mean
- Face-search engine opt-outsGuided steps for PimEyes and FaceCheck.ID. Their opt-outs ask you for your own photo, so we do not automate them: you submit; we track and re-check.
- On-device face matchingFace detection and embedding run in your browser. The models are being added to the public build.
- Removal re-checksSources are checked again after a request to confirm removal and to catch re-listing.
- Requests to AI model providersAccess, deletion and objection requests to AI companies, by email or as guided portal steps with the letter prepared.
Limits
What this does not do.
- We do not query or automate face-search engines. Their terms prohibit it, and their opt-outs need your own face and sometimes ID.
- An opt-out on one engine has no effect on the others. Each runs its own index.
- Some operators do not respond to requests. We document that and help you escalate.
